ABOUT THE PLAYWRIGHT

Matthew Minnicino is a playwright, occasional actor and director, teacher, and storyteller born in Virginia, based in Manhattan. He is a member of Pipeline Theatre's 2017-18 PlayLab, Everyday Inferno's 2016 Writer/Director Lab, received residencies with SPACE on Ryder Farm, the Barn Arts Collective, and Sugarglass Theatre at Trinity College-Dublin; and has been commissioned by numerous companies including Artilliers, Underling Productions, Wandering Bark, Traumaturgy Productions, and many others. He is a Eugene O'Neill New Play Conference Semifinalist, and winner of the 2016 Arts & Letters Prize, Clay E. Delauney Playwriting Prize. He has professionally adapted Chekhov, Ibsen, Strindberg, Homer, Sophocles, Moliere, Gorky, Rilke, and others; acted in over 50 plays (most of them Shakespeare); and is currently writing screenplays for two independent feature films. He is also a teaching artist at the American Shakespeare Center, has mentored undergrad playwrights at Barnard College, and has taught students ages 5 to 55 through outreach programs in New York. Kate Hopkins (Director)

Kate is a Brooklyn-based director, focused on new and devised works. Credits include: The Pool Skimmer, as part of Clubbed Thumbs Emerging Directors Fellowship; what’s this called, this spirit? Dixon place and Ars Nova; The Diary, Dream Up Festival; Arcadia, International Thespians production; Storage, Philly Fringe Festival. In addition to helming these projects, Kate was the assistant/associate director on: Aging Magician, New Victory; Cost Of Living, MTC and Williamstown Theater Festival; After the Blast,LTC3; The Nether, MCC Theatre; Belleville, New York Theatre Workshop; Stein|Holum Projects The Wholehearted, Arts Emerson, Z Space and CTG; The Debate Society’s Jacuzzi, Ars Nova. Kate received her BFA from NYU’s Experimental Theatre Wing.

Rachel (Producer / Actor - Lee)

Yael Nachajon (Stage Manager)

New York based choreographer and performer with degrees in Psychology and Dance from Princeton University. In 2012 she founded YNDT (Yael Nachajon Dance Theater), a company that examines the human condition through humor and absurdity. YNDT’s work has been shown at Dixon Place (The Tendencies), Triskelion Arts (Walking Fast), the Center for Performance Research (Terra Incognita), and Green Space (ASAP). She most recently choreographed for The Habitat & Alex Keegan (Aplomb) and Miranda Rose Hall (What Happened at the Dolphin Show - Samuel French Off-Off Broadway Festival winning short play).
