The Arctic Group Presents

The 1st Annual New York International FRIDGE Festival

August 31 through September 10, 2017

AT IRT THEATRE (154 Christopher Street, 3B)

Born in response to the news that the NY Fringe Festival would not take place in the summer of 2017, The FRIDGE Festival is a multidisciplinary theater festival which will feature new works. We place no restrictions on pieces and are excited to present a wide variety of genres. We do, however, require that all plays include (nay, feature) a fridge.

WE PROVIDE THE FRIDGE!

In tandem with The Arctic Group’s mission to pick a snowflake out of an avalanche, we will be curating a festival of unique, thought-provoking works by both established and emerging artists. No matter what night they attend, audiences will be captivated by the works presented.

If you want to volunteer with us, please email us at arctichumans @ gmail.com

And now, the part that will melt even the coldest of hearts… we are excited to announce that half of all performances will be FILL OUR FRIDGE nights; in which tickets can be purchased with non-perishable goods instead of money. These donations will be delivered to a food bank local to the theater. FILL OUR FRIDGE is our way to solidify our belief that The Arts play an essential role in the community and in anticipation of National Hunger Month.

As you surely know, a theater festival is a sizeable project. We hope that you see the merits of THE FRIDGE FEST and that you can help us fund it. Donations will be used to pay for space, marketing, a tech team, transportation, programs and (of course) a fridge. We are hoping to raise $6,000 by the end of May 2017.

Any donation over $200 will enter you or your company in our Super Hot Cocoa Club of Sponsors. Members of The Club have unlimited VIP passes to all shows and will have their names featured on our website and in our programs.
